Pamela and Tony Hart look forward to welcoming you to the Hermit of Redcoats, which is a historic public house in Titmore Green between Stevenage and Hitchin.

The original building is early 19th Century and has served the locals well, being an inn, incorporating a shop where the small bar is now located, and two further cottages to the side.

The Hermit of Redcoats has a reputation for high quality food for which it has won many plaudits.

Fine food and a relaxed atmosphere have always been our hallmark. These traditions live on as strongly today with fresh cooked food using local produce where possible. Apart from the menus that you can browse here, we also have a specials board and our Sunday Roasts are justly very popular. We pride ourselves on giving both great value and top quality in warm and inviting surroundings.

Our award winning ales are well-kept and are a delight to savour, and of course we have an extensive wine list.

We have ample car parking and a large secluded and safe garden, including a paddock where the two resident Shetland ponies live, and children are welcomed.
